That's right folks, my exciting news is that I got a
new job! And actually, that is the same reason why it has taken me so long to make this update. So sorry for the delay - I am still getting used to balancing a new schedule. But a couple weeks ago I received a call about a part time production design job at a nearby church that I had applied for last fall. They brought me in the next day to interview for the second time and then offered me the position!! I was so excited! I knew when I had applied the first time that it would be a long shot since I am still in school studying graphic design, so I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to apply the skills I am learning in school at work! Sadly, I have had to leave my
sweet nanny job, but I was able to give them a few references for a great replacement and made lots of promises to visit :) I am so so so so thankful for this new adventure and proud that just about 6 months after being let go from my old job, I am already well on my way to a complete career change to doing something I truly love!
In other news, I not only got a new job in the last week, but also scored this GORGEOUS farm quilt from a vintage shop in my neighborhood!
I stumbled upon it folded neatly underneath a little table as I was just perusing the store with
Courtney. I have been searching for a darling quilt such as this for a long time, but just couldn't find it in me to fork over the usual hefty price for similar little beauties. But when I saw the handwritten tag said "$25" I 'bout fell over! This
hand stitched quilt is huge and warm and just feels like it was meant to be with me :)
Check out all the great colors and patterns!! {swoon} Now I'm off to snuggle under my quilt and spend the afternoon studying :) Happy Saturday!
This post made me smile.
