"I feel more cultured."

Paul and I got to go to The Art Institute this past weekend with my Mom and Dad! They have a "list of things to do before moving out of state" and so it was fun to get one more checked off of their list :) Even the cafe in the basement was a deeeelicious place lunch break! We had a fabulous time together.

I really liked this Georgia O'keefe... it was HUGE and not quite like her more famous paintings of flower petals.

I love what she was quoted saying about this painting too. On the little plaque posted nearby it said she had always wanted to do a large piece and at the end she said "It's not my best and not my worst." I just thought that was a humble thing to say and just made her seem much more human to me!

Here's Paul admiring the Chagall windows:

Mom and I had some fun with this lady hehe:

And Dad snuck away a few times to text Mike about how bored he was (caught ya!):

 {haha! but truthfully Dad was a great sport!}

{and so was this guy...}

How excited are you about the Art Institute, Paul?!?!?!

That's what I thought!  Sooooooo excited!!!!

When we returned home Mom decided to make a quiche because she said she was feeling so cultured from our field trip. I don't know if quiche is very cultural, but it does make a delicious meal after a long day!
