Second. The quinoa was SO GOOD!!! I loved it and Paul did too (although he kept saying he wished he had hot sauce to add – but that's just him, I thought it was perfect.) It tasted warm and healthy and delicious just like Summer promised :) Here's some of my leftovers I ate for lunch!
As you can see I added carrots and yellow squash to the suggested zucchini and onions. I will definitely make this again!! Success!
And as the title of this post suggests, we had our FIRST SNOW of the season here! I was greeted by a few magical flakes as I left for work yesterday morning, and then during lunch the air was filled with snow! I tried to take a good photo of it with our iPod touch, but you can only kind of tell. ~Side note, isn't instagram so cool!? it totally makes me seem like a way trendier person ;)
And here's my so far work in progress. Although I LOVE the white yarn one in the pin, I kinda am worried it might get dirty pretty fast, so I picked a cheerful holiday red :) This one I'm making for my mom for Christmas! We are visiting my parents in AZ over thanksgiving and I'll give it to her then. Can't wait to show you guys the finished product!
And as I have committed to taking on a Pinterest Challenge, here is my second project-to-be! I know these have been around a couple years but I always thought they were so neat and I've just had a hankering to try one. This one found on Pinterest, from Better Homes and Gardens is gorgeous!
Hope you all have a beautifully blessed weekend :) The hubs and I are off to his alma mater for Homecoming weekend! It's a favorite in the Schmitt household, for sure.
great minds think alike...I'm making yarn wreaths for all the women in my family for their Christmas presents. shh! But wrapping them takes FOREVER. I bought one big wreath and it took me almost 4 hours just to wrap. eek. Anyway, I wish we would work on our wreaths together!
