Dear Paul,

You are far away right now and I miss the feeling of your hand in mine. We often smile about how our hands fit perfectly together and how God must have made them to do just that.

He sure is good. 

The same good God has seen you through a very difficult journey; a journey I recently began walking along side of you the last year and half. I cannot pretend to know the fire you have been tested in, nor the hurt you experience now.

But Babe I give you this picture now as a representation of what I am committed to doing in the days and weeks and years to come for as long as you let me and the Lord allows. And that is to walk with you step by step and hand in hand through the trials and pains of this life. You know I won't always be perfect at this, (you've witnessed how the last couple days I've barely held it together) but I know the Lord will see us through. He always has, and always will.

Thank you for being a pillar of faith and example of strength, loyalty, and patience to me and to everyone who looks upon your life. She was so incredibly proud of you; I could see it every time I looked in her eyes. I am praying for you now and always. Your Mar.
