We're Halfway There, Baby

Ok so really 19 weeks 6 days, but close enough.

My my the weeks fly by! I've been pretty busy at work lately, as well as with some freelance work and of course keeping up at home. But this second half of pregnancy (how is that possible?!) I'm hoping to do a better job documenting.

20 weeks

Baby is the size of a: Banana. Apparently around 10 inches long. Wow, that seems pretty big.

How I'm changing: The belly is growing! Some days I notice it more than others. And some days I frantically tell Paul I think it shrunk. He assures me that it is not, by any means, shrinking ;) I think I read that the baby has now doubled in size from 16 weeks? I think I've gained 6 lbs so far. I'm feeling funny about clothes these days. Still a little small for full out maternity ware, but I'm definitely not fitting comfortably in my normal clothes.

How I'm feeling: For the most part, I feel not pregnant! Which I have no complaints about. I'm still tired at night, but that's not really abnormal for me, and I have the occasional stretching/pulling feeling down in my belly which seems normal.

But the most exciting feeling this week is that I've started to feel the baby move, and yesterday Paul could feel some kicks from the outside too! I immediately started crying because it felt so special to share that with him :) I cannot believe there's a baby in there!

Otherwise I'm feeling good and still sleeping good. Although Paul says I'm starting to take up more room in the bed because I'm needing to sleep with a pillow every night for support. I'm debating getting one of those pregnancy pillows, but I fear my poor husband will end up rolling off the bed if I claim any more space.

What I'm eating: Frozen water. I'm obsessed with frozen water! I fill a glass with water and then set it in the freezer for 15-30 minutes and then take it out and enjoy. I'm not really consistently craving anything else, but I'm usually pretty hungry and always enjoy my meals thoroughly. Still trying to cook healthy and eat clean, but some treats are definitely sneaking their way into my days.

Other baby business: Tomorrow is our anatomy scan and we will hopefully find out if baby is a boy or a girl! Paul is coming with me and I'm so excited to see the little one up on the screen and to know if we can say "he" or "she" from now on! We both have a feeling it's a girl, but that's just a guess really. I'll be glad to know for sure so I can start dreaming about who this brand new person is.
