Friends In Town!

Yesterday was such a blessing for my heart :)  My dear friend, Janell, is in town for a family vacation with her husband's side, and I got to spend the whole day with her! I shuffled my work schedule around and had the day off so we made brilliant plans of lounging by the pool and catching up all day. Unfortunately, we've had quite a chilly couple of days here, so it wasn't exactly pool weather, but we did manage to have a lovely day together and do lots of catching up. Then later we met up with our husbands (and my dad!) for dinner and milkshakes. A dream!

Paul and I have just started getting involved in our church, and we really haven't made any friends here yet. It's been a little lonely, for me especially, and so it was just incredibly refreshing to sit across from a friend who knows me well and just talk. And did I mention that John and Janell have the most adorable, happy little boy? They do. Just look at him!
