Our weekends since we moved to Arizona, have not always been full. So last night, as Paul and I were driving home from a newcomers reception at church, we both indulged in a little whine session with comments like
this weekend went too fast! and
I wish we had another day off and
Mondays are the worst! I'm gonna go ahead and bet my bottom dollar that these little conversations go on in a lot of homes on Sunday nights. But as we discussed all the fun things we got to do in the past 3 days, I couldn't help but let my heart fill up with thankfulness. God has been so kind to us to begin filling our lives again with
a great church and meeting new friends.
So my weekend was filled with: a trip up north visiting and catching up with Mom, soaking up sewing tips from her, getting a good start on
my quilt*, chatting with
Kirstie on my drive, a
hot Carmel Macchiato for the cool mountain air, dinner with new friends, two rounds of Ticket to Ride, trip to the library, a challenging and encouraging church service, visiting our new house, afternoon naps, a newcomers dessert, and lots of great conversations! We feel so blessed.
*Here's a peak at the 6 blocks I did over the weekend for my granny square quilt. Only 14 to go!
The quilt is going to be beautiful!
